In 2019, Former BBC host Emma Forbes began to struggle with menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings, depression, and insomnia.

“You get this irrational anxiety. Women don’t recognize their symptoms an awful lot. Our parents kept quite, they didn’t talk about it. I didn’t talk about it to my mother”, Forbes had said.

Who Is Emma Forbes?

Emma Forbes is a radio and TV host known for contributing to the ITV daytime show The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

Born on May 14, 1965 in Hammersmith, London, Forbes attended Hurst Lodge School and began her media career in the 90s.

She has worked for many notable media houses and has been a host on a number of shows including the BBC children’s show Live & Kicking, the ITV’s teenage problem show Speakeasy, and What’s My Line? on Meridian TV.

Other TV shows Forbes has presented include the Heart 106.2 breakfast show, alongside Jonathan Coleman, the Steve Wright show on BBC Radio 2, Going Out with Alan Carr, and The Alan Titchmarsh.

In the children’s animated series, Peppa Pig, Forbes played a voice role as Mummy Hippo.

As far back as the 60s, Forbes appeared in a TV commercial for Head & Shoulders shampoo and was ranked amongst the 100 Sexiest Women at the time.
