Deborah Sara Santana is a peace and social justice activist for women and people of color, business manager, philanthropist and author.

Deborah Santana was born on January 30, 1951 to Saunders King and Jo Frances King (née Willis).

Deborah Santana graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies and holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Religion with a Concentration in Women’s Spirituality.

Deborah Santana was Vice-President and COO of Santana Management, which involved working in management of her husband’s band from 1994 – 2007.

As a philanthropist, Deborah Santana founded Do A Little, a non-profit which seeks to empower children and underprivileged women, in 2008.

In 2005, Deborah Santana published Space Between the Stars: My Journey to an Open Heart, a memoir detailing her biracial upbringing as a child of African American and Caucasian parents, and her marriage to Carlos Santana.

Deborah and Carlos Santana got married in 1973 and they have three children.

What happened to Deborah Santana?

In 2007, Deborah Santana filed to dissolve her 34-year marriage to Carlos Santana, citing irreconcilable differences in the Oct. 19 filing in Marin County Superior Court.
