Deadmau5 shared on social media that wearing his iconic mouse helmet caused his spinal injury and damage. Ferrari sued Deadmau5 over his customized Purrari 458 Italia Spider.

Ferrari sent Deadmau5 a cease-and-desist order for something they thought went a step too far. This was after Deadmau5 put a Nyan cat wrap on his new Ferrari 458 Italia Spider which stood out for sure.

The Deadmau5 Purrari, as he named it, became a sensation overnight, even winning an award at the Gumball 3000 supercar rally. The questionable personalization resulted in Ferrari’s US regional office even sending the DJ a cease-and-desist order.

Ferrari felt like he was making a mockery of the brand. The result was that Deadmau5 removed the wrap, and sold his car. Deadmau5 is currently one of the highest-paid electronic music producers in the world.

Deadmau5 was part of the lineup for the 22nd Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2023. He is also featured as a secret unlockable character in the 2014 video game Goat Simulator as “deadgoa7”.
