Irish singer, Danny O’Donoghue has lost both parents. He lost his father, Shay O’Donoghue on 14 February 2008 due to a stomach aneurysm. He was 63 years old.

He has a rose tattoo on his left arm, and also the song titled If You Could See Me Now from the No. 3 album is dedicated to the memory of his father.
His mother, Ailish O’Donoghue died on February 8, 2019.

Danny O’Donoghue lost his best friend and band member, Mark Sheehan from The Script rock band. He reportedly died after a brief illness at the age of 46. In a statement issued by the band, they announced the death of their beloved member.

“Much loved husband, father, brother, bandmate, and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness. The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time,” a statement from the band read.
