In March 2023, Foster came out of retirement, just six months after quitting to rejoin National League Wrexham, on a short-term deal.
This would be the second time Foster would be making a comeback after retirement. The first time he retired in 2011 and returned in 2013 to represent England at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Foster used to be a goalkeeper for England and Manchester United and also had an outstanding career with West Brom and Watford.
Foster made over 500 first-team appearances and won eight England caps.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ben to the club. With Rob Lainton getting injured at the weekend it was important we had all bases covered going into the last part of the season, which this signing ensures”, the club’s manager Phil Parkinson had said.
Foster first played for Wrexham on loan and helped the club to win the LDV Vans Trophy.
He also played for the Hornets in the Premier League. Other clubs he played include Bristol City, Birmingham City, Stafford Rangers, Tiverton Town and Stoke City.
