Following the Angels’ Opening Day road loss to the Oakland A’s on Thursday evening, video footage showed Anthony Rendon getting into a confrontation with a fan in the stands.

The video posted on social media showed Rendon grabbing a fan by the shirt and alleging the fan called him a “b*tch.” He then tried to take a swipe at the fan before walking away.

There are no videos that appear to show the lead-up to the incident. Major League Baseball (MLB) is currently investigating the altercation.

Anthony Rendon has previously played for the Washington Nationals and was a member of the Nationals’ 2019 World Series champions.
On April 30, 2017, Anthony Rendon went six-for-six with three home runs and 10 RBI in a 23–5 win over the division rival New York Mets.
Anthony Rendon became the 13th major leaguer with 10 or more RBI in one game while setting a Nationals record. Rendon was selected to the 2019 MLB All-Star Game for the first time in his career.
