Anna Chapman is a Russian intelligence agent, media personality and model. She was arrested in the United States in 2010 as part of a Russian spy ring known as the Illegals Program.

She was arrested on suspicion of espionage on behalf of the Russian Federation’s external intelligence agency, Sluzhba vneshney razvedki (SVR).
Anna Chapman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to act as a foreign government agent. As part of the 2010 Russia-US prisoner swap, she and the other Russians were repatriated to Russia on July 8, 2010.
