Garrett Reid was the oldest son of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Garrett was found dead on the morning of Sunday, August 5, 2012, in his room at Lehigh University.

According to reports, Garrett Reid, who died at age 29, died of an overdose of heroin. Garrett suffered drug addiction for many years before dying in 2012. Garrett also was imprisoned in 2007 for his involvement in a car crash under the influence of heroin. The reckless driving of Garrett injured a 5-year-old girl.
