Aideen Kennedy was an Irish TV presenter who worked at UTV. Aideen passed away on June 18, 2022. She died aged 43.

The well-known presenter died at home while getting palliative care. Aideen had been suffering from a form of terminal illness for quite some time.
“So life has not gone well and I am as sick as I was when I went into the hospital, so I’m effectively going home to die but getting palliative care,” Aideen wrote on social media before passing away.
Aideen requested that fans say prayers’ for her. She tweeted photographs of herself receiving one of 12 blood transfusions after revealing she was ‘bleeding in her stomach.’

The exact cause of her death has not been disclosed. Former UTV colleague Rita Fitzgerald said: ‘Darling Aideen, I’m so desperately sorry to hear this. My heart is breaking for you.’
Former political editor at UTV, Ken Reid, tweeted: ‘Tonight the thought Aideen is no longer with us is just heartbreaking.
‘A decent soul who suffered too much. The news has stunned many of us. We all need to take care. God bless her. RIP.’
