What happened between Becky G parents?

American singer and actress, Becky G, born Rebbeca Marie Gomez, shared that she became the sole provider for her family when her parents went into financial ruin. She shared that she experienced a midlife crisis when she was just 9 years old.

According to her, her parents lost their family home in 2008.

“We lost our home in the 2008 financial crash.  My parents were broke and we had to check “homeless”  on our lunch applications. I remember how embarrassing it was to get my lunch taken away because I was in deficit,” she said.

She also shared that she grew up so fast after dropping out of high school, adding that she was heavily bullied by her classmates.

She became a successful artiste after her breakthrough and established her own YouTube channel, signed a deal with Dr. Luke, and released her hit single Shower in 2014. She also has her own makeup line called Trescluce Beauty by Becky G.
