What Drake Milligan song went number one?

American singer, Drake Milligan’s song Sounds Like Something I’d Do went number 1 on US iTunes.

“GOOD MORNING. The album has been out for 8 hours. Already #1 on iTunes. Thank y’all so much,” he shared in an Instagram Story post.

On June 8, 2022, Milligan appeared on America’s Got Talent with his band and received an applauding four “yes” votes for their performance of an original song, Sounds Like Something I’d Do.  

“I’ve got to say something, Drake. A lot of people after performing in the auditions and their song goes number one, they would just walk and not compete. The fact that happened, and you still come back to compete in this competition, you have my absolute respect because I was really concerned about that,” Simon Cowell said.

He finished 3rd place in the competition on September 14, 2022.

Milligan had earlier contested in American Idol but dropped out because he felt he was not ready enough.

“I decided that I wasn’t quite ready for that platform yet and that it would be a better step for me to move to Nashville and focus on my music first,” he said.
