What does Pedro Martinez do now?

Pedro Martnez is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) starting pitcher who played for five different teams from 1992 to 2009.

Pedro Martinez officially announced his retirement on December 4, 2011. Martnez joined the Boston Red Sox as a special assistant to general manager Ben Cherington a few years after retiring from playing.

Later, in 2015, he was hired as a studio analyst by the MLB Network, and he also co-wrote an autobiography, Pedro, with Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald. Martnez was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame the same year.

Martnez was named to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s 2018 induction class on February 1, 2018. Martnez also works as an MLB on TBS studio analyst for postseason coverage in addition to MLB Network.

Martnez, an eight-time All-Star, was at his best from 1997 to 2003, establishing himself as one of baseball’s most dominant pitchers.

He won three Cy Young Awards (1997, 1999, 2000) and was runner-up twice (1998, 2002), compiling a 118-36 (.766) record with a 2.20 ERA while leading his league in ERA, winning percentage, and strikeouts three times each.
