David Crosby was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter who was also a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

David Crosby died at the age of 81 on January 18, 2023, after suffering from Type 2 diabetes and liver problems related to hepatitis C.

David Crosby is the father of Beckett Cypher, Django Crosby, James Raymond, Bailey Jean Cypher, Donovan Crosby, and Erika Keller Crosby.

In 1971, David Crosby released his first solo album, If I Could Only Remember My Name. In a 2010 list of the Best Albums published by the Vatican City newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, If I Could Only Remember My Name came in second to the Beatles’ Revolver.

David Crosby formed Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1968 with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. The group won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist of 1969 following the release of their debut album.
