A 22-year-old woman filed a civil lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, on behalf of herself and her younger brother accusing renowned actor, comedian, Tiffany Haddish and fellow comedian Aries Spears of sexually abusing the plaintiffs when they were both minors.

The lawsuit, filed under the pseudonyms “Jane Doe” and “John Doe” claims Haddish and Spears groomed and coerced the young plaintiffs into “filming sexually explicit child pornography skits.”
The plaintiffs claim they met Haddish and Spears through their mother. Haddish is described in the lawsuit as a “longtime family friend.”

Andrew Brettler, Haddish’s attorney, dismissed the plaintiffs’ claims against his client as “bogus” in an email to NPR.
According to Brettler, the plaintiffs’ mother has been attempting to discredit Haddish with these allegations for several years.
In addition to the civil lawsuit filed this week, Jane Doe and her brother have asked the Los Angeles Police Department to charge the entertainers criminally. “We are hopeful that the LAPD will finally act and arrest both Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears.”
