Several players have won at the Honda Classic tournament, with Nicklaus being the only consecutive winner in 1977 and 1978.
Overtime, the event sponsors have made significant efforts to improve the player field, as they try to “make PGA National the tournament’s permanent home.”
As for its prize money, the Honda Classic tournament is not so different from the others. In 2017, the total prize money was $6.4 million.
The Honda Classic 2023 tournament will hold between Feb 23–26, 2023, at the PGA National Members Club, with a total prize money of $8,400,000 at stake.
