What did Reece Walsh say? Is He being Investigated?

Reece Walsh is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL)

The NRL integrity unit was reportedly investigating Walsh on September 29, 2023for a verbal confrontation he had with a Penrith supporter at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

It was alleged that the supporter yelled at Walsh “Moses Leota will take your head off this weekend”.  Walsh responded with “I’ll take your mum’s”.

Broncos coach Walters confirmed he had been informed of the incident by Broncos media staff but did not think there would be “much” to come from an NRL investigation.

“The amount of people that hate him… thankfully most people love him. But we’re in a bit of foreign territory here in New South Wales so there are people jealous of Reece because of the way he plays, his looks and all those things.

“We understand there’s an investigation but there won’t be much in it… Walshy is nice and tough and he’s from a great area in Queensland. Things aren’t going to always go to script or to plan.”
