The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, who seems to have a very unhealthy relationship with her estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, shared in an interview with Oprah in March 2021, that she was an only child while growing up.

This did not sit so well with Samantha and then proceed to sue her for defamation, demanding a sum of 60,500 ($75K). Her case was considered non-important and dismissed by a Florida judge.

In a docuseries released on Netflix in 2022, Meghan shared that she had barely seen Samantha while growing up, but suddenly she’s all over now.

“My half-sister, who I hadn’t seen for over a decade – and that was only for a day and a half – suddenly it felt like she was everywhere,” she said.

“I don’t know your middle name, I don’t know your birthday. You’re telling these people that you raised me and that you coined me ‘princess pushy,” she added.

Is Meghan close to Samantha Markle?

Meghan Markle has never been close to Samantha Markle, in fact, Samantha’s behavior toward Meghan has been heavily criticized by their family members.

“It’s why nobody talks to her (Samantha) and hasn’t for a long, long time. Leave Meghan alone already. It’s ridiculous,” Thomas Markle Jr once said.
