Jolie Poirier told McGregor that ‘Karma is a mirror’ after their fight in July 2021. Before the fight, McGregor made serious threats to his opponent’s safety and he continued his verbal attack against Poirier in his post-fight interview, this time mentioning the American’s wife.

Poirier addressed the comments after the contest with UFC commentator Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview, saying: “I can take, you know, the trash talk.” But murder isn’t something you joke around with; there’s no going back from it, and this guy was threatening to murder me and other things.
