Jimmy Haslam is an American businessman and sports executive. Jimmy Haslam reached an agreement with Browns owner Randy Lerner to buy the team for $1 billion in 2012.

Forbes magazine valued the Browns at $977 million in 2011, ranking them 20th in the NFL.
Today, the team is worth at least $3 billion and could be worth up to $4 billion.
On October 12, the NFL’s 32 teams unanimously approved the Haslams’ purchase of the Browns; the transaction closed thirteen days later.

Haslam has a 44-94-1 record as team owner since officially taking over the Browns seven games into the 2012 season and through the end of the 2020 regular season (including going 0-16 in 2017).
Jimmy had his first winning season in 2020 when the Browns went 11-5, and won his first postseason game as Browns owner when the Browns defeated the Steelers 48-37 in the Wild Card round of the 2020-21 NFL playoffs.
In 2007, he was inducted into the Junior Achievement of East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame, and in 2010, he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Southeast region.
