Iain Glen is a Scottish actor famous for appearing as Ser Jorah Mormont in the TV series “Game of Thrones,” based on the book series by George R.R. Martin.

Born on June 24, 1961, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Glen attended the University of Aberdeen, Edinburgh Academy, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

His early career included performances in various West End productions and the Royal National Theatre.

Glen had played Dr. Alexander Isaacs/Tyrant in three of the Resident Evil film series from 2004 to 2016.

Glen has starred in several other film series such as Mountains of the Moon, Silent Scream, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Song for a Raggy Boy, Jack Taylor, Downton Abbey, Iron Lady, Eye in the Sky, Ripper Street, Gorillas in the Mist, and Titans (2019–present).

In 2023, Glen starred as Magnus MacMillan in The Rig, and William Carr in Operation Napoleon.

Glen will also star as Leonard in the upcoming Belgian film The Last Front.
