Dye has appeared in various films and TV shows, play in military roles.

Some of the movies he has starred in include “Casualties of War,” “Under Siege,” “Mission: Impossible,” “Rules of Engagement”, “Spy Game”, “Mission: Impossible”, “Starship Troopers”, “Entourage”, “Knight and Day”, “Falling Skies”, “No Better Place to Die”, and “Citizen Soldiers.”

Dye has previously served in the Marine Corps for over 20 years and has witnessed the Vietnam War.

He had received several awards for his service, including the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” and three Purple Hearts.

Upon retirement, Dye became a Hollywood consultant for war films, helping to portray military operations the right way in films.

Some of the films he has worked on include “Platoon,” “Born on the Fourth of July,” “Saving Private Ryan,” and “Band of Brothers.”

Dye has also written several books, which includes military fiction and non-fiction.
