Gomez Addams is known for his quick wit and sense of humour. The Addams Family is a group of fictional characters created by American cartoonist Charles Addams. Addams Family characters include Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Grandmama, Wednesday and Pugsley.

The Addams Family originally appeared as a series of single-panel cartoons in The New Yorker between 1938 and Addams’s 1988 death.

The Addams Family has been portrayed in the television series The Addams Family (1964–1966) and in the television film Halloween with the New Addams Family (1977).

The Addams Family has also been portrayed in the feature films The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993). The most recent portrayal of Wednesday Addams was by Jenna Ortega in the streaming television series Wednesday (2022).
