Youth With A Mission, commonly known as YWAM, is an interdenominational Christian training organization with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1960. Founded by American missionary Loren Cunningham and his wife Darlene Cunningham, YWAM has evolved over the years to become a global movement dedicated to “knowing God and making Him known.”
Today, YWAM operates with a diverse and global staff of over 11,000 individuals from over 130 countries, with a strong emphasis on training and equipping Christians to have a positive influence in various societal “spheres of influence.”

One of the most notable Mercy Ministries is Mercy Ships, which initially started as a YWAM ship-based relief ministry but later became an independent organization. These ships provide essential medical services, dental care, food, and spiritual support to underserved communities in need.
YWAM is not an isolated organization; it actively collaborates with various missions, churches, and independent missionaries globally. It has formed partnerships with organizations such as Christian Aid, Campus Crusade for Christ, Trans World Radio, Wycliffe Bible Translators, World Vision, and others to advance its mission and participate in various outreach initiatives.
