Baseball coach Alyssa Nakken is an American native. With her appointment as the San Francisco Giants’ assistant manager, she gained notoriety. Alyssa started working with the Giants in the baseball operations division in 2014. She oversaw their health and wellness programs while working there as an intern.

Nakken was a first-team all-league selection in 2012 and received an honorable mention in 2009. Both of these awards came during her time at Sacramento State. In 2011 and 2010, she was selected for the league’s second-team.

All 184 of Alyssa’s games with the Hornets have seen her start, typically at first base. Between 1990 and the present, Nakken has consistently been among Sacramento State’s top 10 graduates in a variety of career fields. She was honored by the conference in 2012 as Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

What are some fun facts about Alyssa Nakken?

At first base, Nakken was a three-time conference all-star and four-time Academic All American. After working as a baseball operations intern with the Giants’ organization in 2014, she later graduated with a master’s degree in sport administration from the University of San Francisco in 2015.
