At the age of 22, Bolt set his current world record in 2009, clocking it at 19.19 seconds. He only ever set another time faster than Knighton’s before—a 19.30 at Beijing 2008 when he was 21 years old. Bolt’s best time at age 17 was 19.93, which was 0.09 seconds slower than Knighton’s.
