Louise Thompson shared her struggles with postnatal depression and PTSD following the birth of her son in 2021.

She revealed to her followers that Leo-Hunter was treated in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and that she was treated in an adult intensive care unit (ICU) after the birth. she almost died twice during the birth.

On Christmas Day 2021, she shared a heartfelt post in which she paid tribute to the NHS staff who “worked through the night to save my life”.

Louise Thompson also revealed in an emotional Instagram story that she has Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease. She says her symptoms include feeling tired and “really, really intolerable joint pain”.

“I had a call with one of the rheumatology guys and they got more of my blood test results back and the diagnosis is that I have drug-induced lupus,” she explained. So I’m suffering from it, which is fantastic.”
