The couple was together for three years from 2010 to 2013 and became engaged in 2011 before their relationship ended.
Both Shane and Liz lived their lives very much in the spotlight with Shane for his sporting talents and Liz for her roles in films such as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Double Whammy.

Shane said there was “no single, clear reason” the couple ended their relationship. Shane did once say he got “jumpy” about the fact that Liz was spending time with Hugh Grant, who she formerly dated and is now the godfather to her son.

He said: “I got jumpy about the time Elizabeth still spent with Hugh Grant … He is her best friend but they saw each other more when I wasn’t around so, well, you know.”
Since their split, Liz continues to live in their Grade II listed mansion Donnington Hall near the Welsh border in Herefordshire.
In 2020 Shane admitted in his TV show A Week with Warnie that seven years later he was still hurt over the breakup and he still cares for Liz. He said: “I’m quite sad it’s over because I still care about her deeply and she’s a wonderful person.”
The former couple had remained friends since their split and in 2021 there were rumors about them possibly rekindling their relationship.
