Sylvia Syms (full name Sylvia May Laura Syms), a veteran English actress best known for her roles in a variety of movies including; Ice Cold in Alex (1958), Victim (1961) amongst a host of others has died.

Syms was born on 6th January 1934 and died on 27th January 2023. She was 89 years.
Was Sylvia Syms In Any Carry On Films?

Despite her close association with the Carry On Films, Sylvia Syms did not make an appearance in any of the Carry On film.

However, she came quite close to starring in the Carry On Films.
Instead, she starred alongside the likes of Sid James, Joan Sims and Jim Dale in the 1965 comedy The Big Job.
It was her performance in The Big job that brought her several accolades.
Sterling performances in The Tamarind Seed (1974) alongside Omar Sharif and Julie Andrews led to a British Film Academy Award nomination.
She will be sorely missed.
