Sofía Vergara is a Colombian and American actress and model who is married to True Blood star Joe Manganiello.

Before her marriage to Joe Manganiello, Sofia Vergara was married to Joe Gonzalez, her high school sweetheart. When the couple married, Vergara was only 18 years old.

Vergara and Gonzalez have a 29-year-old son named Manolo who was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. Manolo is a model, actor, and director.

Vergara married her first husband for only a few years before divorcing him in 1993 when their son was two years old.

Vergara spoke to Parade in 2011 about her relationship with Gonzalez. “We’re still close friends,” the actress said, adding that her ex-husband visits her in the US and stays with her.

Although Gonzalez remains involved in his son’s life, Vergara did the majority of the parenting herself, which she is proud of. “Now that I think about it, I never really needed anyone’s help,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016.

“It feels great to look back and know I did everything myself.” It’s satisfying.”
