British-born American broadcaster, journalist, actor, producer, lawyer, and politician Gerald Norman Springer best known as Jerry Springer has died. Springer was born on February 13, 1944 and died on April 27, 2023 at age 79.

Springer attended nearby Forest Hills High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 1965, majoring in political science. Three years later, he earned a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University in 1968.
Springer’s first move into politics was as a political campaign adviser to Democrat Robert F. Kennedy.

Springer was a lawyer and he began practicing law at the Cincinnati law firm of Frost & Jacobs, now Frost Brown Todd after Kennedy’s assassination.
Springer was a partner in the law firm of Grinker, Sudman & Springer from 1973 to 1985, alongside former NBA agent Ronnie Grinker (d. 1997) and current Butler County, Ohio, magistrate Harry Sudman.
