Herschel Walker is a retired American football running back who played for 12 seasons in the NFL.

Born on March 3, 1962,  Walker recently emerged as the Republican nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia.

Herschel Walker Football Career

Walker had his collegiate football career at the University of Georgia before making his professional debut with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL).

He later joined the Dallas Cowboys, and won two Pro Bowls and second-team All-Pro honors.

Walker played across teams New Jersey Generals, the Dallas Cowboys, the Minnesota Vikings, the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.

He finished his playing career with 8,225 rushing yards, 4.2 rushing average, 61 rushing touchdowns, 512 receptions, 4859 receiving yards, and 21 receiving touchdowns.

He later retired with the Cowboys.

Walker is now a Republican politician who strongly supported Jack Kingston’s bid in the Republican primary election for the 2014 U.S. Senate election in Georgia.

Walker recently emerged as the Republican nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia.
