Wall Collapse in Kasoa Injures Four, Including Baby

In a distressing incident in Kasoa Zongo, located in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, four individuals, including a 6-month-old baby, were injured after a cemetery wall collapsed on them on Monday.

The unfortunate event transpired amidst heavy rainfall, as the victims sought refuge under a shade near the market center close to the cemetery. Tragically, the weakened cemetery wall collapsed, causing injuries to those underneath.

Reports suggest that the wall had been in a fragile state for some time prior to the incident. Among the injured were a 16-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman, both of whom sustained severe injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at the Kasoa Polyclinic.

Thankfully, the baby and their mother, who were also caught in the collapse, were treated for their injuries and subsequently discharged from medical care.
