Ghana’s Under-17 team, the Black Starlets, has been placed in Group A of the WAFU Zone B U17 championships alongside Cote D’Ivoire and Benin. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Group B of the competition, which also serves as a qualifier, will feature Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, and Nigeria.
The competition kicks off on May 15 and concludes on May 28, 2024.
The two nations that advance to the final of the competition will secure automatic qualification for the AFCON U17 tournament the following year.

The Black Starlets have appointed a new technical team headed by former Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston.
Assisting Kingston are Jacob Nettey, a former captain of Hearts of Oak, and Nana Agyemang, who holds a CAF License A and UEFA License B.
The new technical team has been tasked with assembling a strong team for both the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra in 2024 and the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
