In the 1978 airport robbery, 86-year-old Vincent Asaro was one of a group of mobster suspects accused of fleeing with about $6 million. He was convicted of the crime in 2015, but was later sentenced to prison for an unrelated case of road rage arson.

With concerns that he would be susceptible to the COVID-19 virus in 2020, the ailing capo who had suffered a stroke while imprisoned was given compassionate parole. Due to Valenti’s cooperation with the authorities, he avoided the maximum 20-year sentence and was given probation instead.

Vincent Asaro wife: Was Vincent Asaro married?

There is no information available in the public about the identity of Vincent Asaro’s wife. Asaro was also a suspect in Paul Katz’s murder in 1969. Asaro and James Burke kept stolen goods in a warehouse owned by Katz. Asaro and Burke immediately believed Katz to be a government informant when police stormed the facility.
Katz was supposedly killed by the two men with a dog chain, and their corpses were buried beneath a deserted home. Asaro and Burke allegedly transferred the bones to the home of Burke’s daughter and reburied them there when the NYPD revived the Katz investigation. A police investigation turned up the remains in 2013.
