He is best known for his creative work with the World Wrestling Federation, World Championship Wrestling, and Total Nonstop Action.
Vince Russo would occasionally appear on screen as an authority figure or wrestler. Russo was a controversial figure, and his writing style emphasised narratives over in-ring action.
At one point, he booked himself as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Russo worked for the WWF from 1992 to 1999, WCW in 2000, WWE in 2002, and TNA intermittently from 2002 to 2014.

Russo wrote a series of pieces for “What Culture,” a UK-based website with a pro-wrestling section, in 2014. In 2015, he also started his own podcast. Russo joined Aro Lucha Promotions as a screenplay consultant in December 2017.
He did, however, serve as an independent contractor for the group for less than a year. He eventually started writing a weekly piece for the website WebIsJericho.com.
He has also published a number of books. His first book, “Forgiven: One Man’s Journey from Self-Glorification to Sanctification,” was published in 2000 and is an autobiography. In 2010, he published his second book, “Rope Opera: How WCW Killed Vince Russo.”
