His mother, Gail was a grade school teacher at Longwood College, and his father, George Vincent Gilligan Sr., was an insurance worker.

Unfortunately, his parents divorced in 1974.

Vincent Gilligan is an American screenwriter, producer and director, born on February 10, 1967.

Vince is well known for producing AMC’s Breaking Bad (2008–2013) and its spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul (2015–2022).

He also wrote and produced The X-Files (1993–2002; 2016–2018) as well a its sequel The Lone Gunmen (2001). He also co-wrote and produced the movie Hancock.

Other movies produced by Vince include the romantic comedy film, Wilder Napalm, Home Fries, Night Stalker and Hancock.

Vince has won several awards including four Primetime Emmy Awards, six Writers Guild of America Awards, two Critics’ Choice Television Awards, two Producers Guild of America Awards, a Directors Guild of America Award, and a BAFTA Television Award.
