Viktor Bout Parents: Who Are Viktor Bout’s Mother And Father?

Although Raisa Bout has been identified as the mother of Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, her details are under the radar.

Her son Viktor Anatolyevich Bout is a Russian arms dealer and former Soviet military translator.

Bout reportedly used his multiple air transport companies to smuggle weapons since the collapse of the Soviet Union from Eastern Europe to Africa and the Middle East in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Viktor Bout was arrested in the Thai capital of Bangkok in 2008 after a sting operation in which United States informants posed as Colombian rebels.

On November 2, 2011, Bout was convicted by a jury in a Manhattan federal court of conspiracy to kill Americans, acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles, and provide material support to a terrorist organization, and was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

Viktor Bout has been held at the United States Penitentiary, Marion since June 2012.
