Usher first Wife: Meet Tameka Foster

Tameka Foster is an American stylist and fashion entrepreneur. She is the first wife of American musician Usher.

Usher began dating Tameka Foster, who had previously worked as his personal stylist, in November 2005. On August 3, 2007, the couple married in a civil ceremony in Atlanta.

Usher became a stepfather to Foster’s three sons from prior relationships after his marriage to her. Usher and Foster are also the parents of two sons: Usher “Cinco” Raymond V, born in November 2007, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, born in December 2008.

Tameka Foster and Usher Raymond went through a highly publicized and contentious divorce process. They filed for divorce in 2009 and finalized their separation in 2009. The divorce was accompanied by various legal disputes and custody battles over their children.

Since the divorce, Tameka Foster has focused on her career as a stylist and fashion entrepreneur. She has worked as a personal stylist for Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Toni Braxton, Ciara, Patti LaBelle and Nas.

She is also a philanthropist. Foster is one of the co-founders of the ‘Oakland Natives Giveback’ nonprofit organization founded in 2007
