The organization plans to allocate a staggering $2.4 billion for this purpose. Bolt, who boasts eight Olympic gold medals, has humorously requested retroactive payment for his past victories, amounting to over $300,000.
World Athletics made history by announcing cash rewards of $50,000 for each champion across 48 events, including relays, at the upcoming Paris Olympics.
In response, Bolt, known for his lightning speed on the track, jokingly demanded reimbursement for his previous Olympic triumphs.
