Update: Body of Makeup Artist Abigail Frederick, Involved in Boat Accident with Jnr Pope and Others, Exhumed

The remains of Abigail Frederick, a makeup artist who tragically passed away in a boat accident along with Jnr Pope and three others, were exhumed on April 14.

The exhumation took place this afternoon, and her body is now being transported to her home state, Akwa Ibom, for her final resting place.

Frederick’s body was discovered on April 11 and was initially buried at the riverbank due to the villagers’ insistence that a sacrifice be performed to appease the river goddess before her burial.

However, this requirement was not met by her family members, leading to the burial at the riverbank.

The exhumation and transportation of Frederick’s body to Akwa Ibom mark a significant step in her final journey, allowing her family and loved ones to lay her to rest in a more traditional and personalized manner.
