“I’m devastated to hear that the legendary Tyrone O’Sullivan has sadly passed away. Since getting elected, I have been proud to know Tyrone as a warm, since, and intelligent member of Gower CLP. He will be remembered as a towering figure of trade unionism and the Labour movement,” MP Tonia Antoniazzi also shared.
O’Sullivan was an NUM activist who became a flying picket, moving around Wales at the behest of Arthur Scargill, in the 1973 and 1974 strikes to oust Prime Minister Edward Health’s Conservative government.
