Strnad recorded nine albums with the band during his twenty-year career, being Verminous from 2020 the last of them.

The band was scheduled to release a live DVD Yule ‘Em All on July 1, 2021 via Metal Blade.

However, Strnad was unable to live long enough as he died on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 41.

Strnad’s death was announced by The Black Dahlia Murder via a post which reads;

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad.”

“Beloved son, brother and Pastor of good times, he was loved by all who knew him.”

“A walking encyclopedia of everything about music. He was a hugger, a writer and one of the world’s greatest entertainers.”

“His lyrics filled the world with stories, spells, horror and fantasy. His life was to be your show.”

Though a cause of death was not given, there are indications Strnad might have taken his own life as there was a post on suicide prevention beneath The Black Dahlia Murder’s announcement of his death.
