Trev Alberts is a former American football player, sports analyst, and sports administrator. He is the son of Ken Alberts and Linda Alberts.

His father Ken Alberts was a business executive, and Linda. His older brother Troy works as a sales director in an oil processor, and his sister, Tami teaches elementary school.
Alberts played college football as a linebacker for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1990 to 1993. He was highly successful during his college career, earning several awards and honors, including the Dick Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker in 1993.
In the 1994 NFL Draft, Trev Alberts was selected as the fifth overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts. However, his professional football career was short-lived due to injuries, and he retired after just a few seasons in the NFL.

After his playing career, Alberts transitioned into sports broadcasting. He worked as a college football analyst for ESPN, providing commentary and analysis on college football games.
In addition to his broadcasting career, Trev Alberts has also been involved in sports administration. He is currently serving as the Vice President and Athletic Director at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, overseeing the university’s athletic programs.
