A Honda Vehicle was turning left into a parking lot in the town of Dorset shortly before 5 p.m. when it collided with Williams’ motorcycle, according to a Vermont State Police statement.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized. He had indicated the turn and was not immediately apprehended, according to police, despite the fact that the crash investigation was ongoing.

Williams’ career spanned four decades, including performances in films such as Steven Spielberg’s 1941 and Heart of Dixie and television episodes such as Blue Bloods, The Late Shift, Chicago Fire, and Chesapeake Shores.

Williams is survived by his wife Pam Van Sant, whom he married in 1988 and two children.
