According to Jacob Gribble, the fire chief for Dorset, Vermont, the incident occurred on Monday (June 12) around 5 p.m. on Route 30 by Long Trail Auto near Dorset, Vermont.

Investigators believe the car’s driver was turning and did not notice the motorcycle.

According to Gribble, the only person injured was the motorcyclist, who was airlifted to a hospital in New York by a LifeNet helicopter.

Later that day, the Vermont State Police issued a news release verifying Williams’ name and providing facts of the crash.

“Williams was unable to avoid a collision and was thrown from his motorcycle. He suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead,” according to the statement.
