At least eight people have lost their lives in a stampede during Travis Scott’s concert at Astroworld Festival in Houston.

The massive crowd had moved nearer to the performing platform while Travis Scott was performing in the night.
According to reports, hundreds of people have sustained various degrees of injuries during the stampede. Samuel Pena, who served as the Houston fire chief, revealed the injuries in his statement.

Samuel Pena stated: “The crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, and that caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries. People began to fall out, become unconscious, and it created additional panic. The fire and rescue service took 17 people to nearby hospitals, with 11 of them in cardiac arrest.”
The Astroworld Festival Concert was a two-day event but due to the unfortunate incident, the second day of the event has been canceled.
The first day witnessed over 50,000 people from various parts of America to Houston, Texas.
