The victims, six-year-old Clement Agyei and four-year-old Desmond Karikari Agyei, were students at Ridge Experimental Basic School in Oda.

The fire also injured their mother, 36-year-old hairdresser Madam Bernice Karikari, along with her daughters, 14-year-old Ereka Gyekyewaa, and 9-year-old Blessing Agyeiwaa.

According to reports from Rainbowradioonline.com, the fire broke out around 11 p.m. on Sunday, engulfing the family’s residence. While Madam Karikari and her daughters managed to escape, they sustained injuries in the process.

The tragic incident was discovered by a neighbour, Madam Mary Brew, who heard the mother’s cries for help and raised an alarm upon seeing flames emanating from the house.

Despite efforts by residents to extinguish the fire, they were unable to do so until the Ghana National Fire Service arrived.

Tragically, by the time firefighters reached the scene, the fire had already consumed the house, resulting in irreparable damage.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, as the community mourns the loss of the two young brothers and prays for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident.
