 Understanding the Injury

The lack of oxygen to Levi’s brain, as explained by Clark, suggests a condition called cerebral hypoxia.

Dr. Joey Gee, a neurologist, explains that prolonged oxygen deprivation can result in devastating brain damage.

In Levi’s case, doctors worked to combat fever-like symptoms and maintain his body’s cooling to protect his brain and organs.

 Causes and Prognosis

Cerebral hypoxia can result from various accidents and health issues, including drowning and airway obstruction. Dr. Jared Ross, an emergency care physician, notes that Levi’s accident occurred nearly two weeks ago, allowing medical professionals to determine a long-term prognosis.
