Swedish singer-songwriter Ebba Tove Nilsson is better known as Tove Lo. She is renowned for her unpolished, grunge-inspired approach to pop music. She has earned the moniker “the saddest girl in Sweden” thanks to the open, intricate, and autobiographical lyrics she writes.

Lo signed with Universal Music, Island, and Polydor in 2013. With the release of Queen of the Clouds, her debut album, Lo gained popularity the following year. It gave birth to “Talking Body” and “Habits (Stay High),” which both had sleeper hits. “Habits (Stay High)” reached at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Lady Wood, her second album, debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 upon release in October 2016. “Cool Girl,” the album’s lead track, became a global hit.
Tove Lo Parents: Meet Magnus Nilsson
In Helsingborg, Scania County, Sweden, on October 29, 1987, Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson was born. She is the daughter of psychologist Gunilla Nilsson Edholm and co-founder of iZettle Magnus Nilsson. She has one older brother.
Because of her fondness for lynxes (singular: “lo” in Swedish), her godmother gave her the nickname Tove Lo, which she has used as her stage name ever since she was three. “There was this lynx at a zoo named Tove that I completely fell in love with,” she said.
