Darts star Toon Greebe passed away on October 16, 2023, at age 35.

Since his passing, tributes have poured in from all quarters.
For the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and the World Darts Federation (WDF), they are “saddened to learn” of Greebe’s death.
They described him as a “popular figure on the circuit”.
“The PDC sends its condolences to the family and friends of Toon at this difficult time”, they said in a statement.

Toon Greebe’s journey as a professional darts player began in 1997 and, over the years, he left an indelible mark on the sport.
A shining moment in Greebe’s career came in 2010 when he earned a spot at the PDC World Darts Championship through the European Order of Merit.

The year 2019 witnessed Greebe’s triumph at the Poland Open, where he conquered Sebastian Steyer with a score of 6–3.
However, adversity struck Toon Greebe with a harsh blow in 2017 when a severe health crisis necessitated the amputation of his right foot.
The struggle continued, leading to a second leg amputation in late 2022, taking the lower part of his left leg.
He will be remembered for his unrelenting passion for darts, his extraordinary achievements, and his unwavering courage in the face of overwhelming challenges.
